I need to start out with one word... sOrrY, i know it's a new year and all but i feel sO blah today, don't feel like doing much, don't feel like saying much, i just feel blah, do you ever feel that way or is it just me? our tree is still up and everything, and guess what? i don't even care, i think the winter blues are starting early this year:( i don't even have picture's, i know Lanny with out picture's! well I'll tell you what, maybe I'll feel better if you leave me a snow flake/ aka, comment to make me feel better & I'll pick a name let's say Tuesday and I'll send you out a Family Night bucket! I know you will like! so once again sorry.
SiMpLy mE...
I feel like that all too often. It'll pass. I felt like that on New Year's Day and decided I would feel better if I at least got the tree down. So I did. And I kept going! I felt better with each thing that got put away. Now, it's all put away and I feel like starting the new year. It only took 3 days, but hey, it happened. :)
ReplyDeleteHugs, my friend!!
I think everyone feels a little blah after all the hoopla is over. It takes a few days of rest and relaxation to feel motivated to get going again! You'll be better tomorrow!

ReplyDeleteJust Say No To Winter Blues!!! You are such a beautiful woman. Be happy!!! Take down your tree when you feel good and ready.
Oh and that Family Night Bucket sounds fun!
Oh woman, just relax. It ain't nothing but a thang. So what, your tree is still up; perhaps you just don't want the holidays to end. I know the feeling. Now I have to get back to regularness, routines, and boring stuff. LOL
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what a family night bucket is but i hope I get it. LOLOL
But yes, bottom line, I know exactly what you are saying. I don't have any advice or suggestions; just know that you are not alone.
Lanny,
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Sending some sunshine from North Carolina your way! I check your blog daily... but rarely post. Your blog is fabulous and inspiring!
Thanks for doind this give away! What a nice way to chase the winter blues away!
I know "January" is a weird month...long and cold! I'm sending you big HUGS and a warm SMILE... can you see it? :o) My remedy is a great fancy coffee curled up with a stack of magazines (all your favorites and enjoy the stillness! nothing pressing just peace.

ReplyDeletei'm back in gr starting tomorrow... plus i've been wanting to go to pages in time... maybe we should meet up and find a starbucks around?
Hi Lanny! Just got back late last night and couldn't wait to check on you.
ReplyDeleteWinter blues and COLD are two reasons I couldn't live where you live. But, listen to this...when we were about to land last night, the pilot tells us about the weather here in SA and he's laughing as he says it's 82 degrees!! Gracious me, can't we at least get 60 degrees??!! ;)
Hope you snap out of this blah feeling and wishing you the best new year yet!
Take a deep breath...relax and take the day off...tomorrow is a NEW DAY!
ReplyDeleteCount your blessings...when you wake take a notepad and pen...write down EVERYTHING you are thankful for!!!
It will lift your spirits and you'll be able to "see" how blessed you. It's "ok" to have a bad day and just do nothing, but don't let it linger...shake it off, review your blessings, give THANKS, and then get up and MOVE IT!
Try to get some exercise in...take Gus for a WALK??
Strive to be FIT, FIERCE, and FABULOUS in 2009!
Hugs,
Roxy
Hi there! I am usually a "lurker" as they would say but thought I would leave you a message because I know just how you're feeling. *sigh* I am thinking that perhaps it's just this cold, snowy, sunless,(did I mention snowy?), Michigan winter. It seems like whenever the sun peeks out even a tiny bit I find myself running to the window just to catch a glimpse. Hang in there, before you know it the temps will reach above 40 again! Oh, I loved learning about the Fairy doors too! I have been to Ann Arbor but never knew they existed..how cute!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!

ReplyDeleteah, the winter blues. yes! i told my husband we need to start dancing again - anything fun to get us thru the next few months.
ReplyDeletegreat blog here, my first visit!
What a bummer that you're feeling that way! I kind of am too! Sent my son back to school today and I just can't seem to get back into a routine!
ReplyDeleteSo let's see... here's my comment to both of us:
Let's have a "one-more-cuddle-in-by-the-fireplace-kind-of-day!"
Smiles!

I once left my tree up until Valentines day. Granted, it was a fake tree, but you know. I mostly hate going back to work after having almost 2 weeks off. Here's hoping you have a spring back in your step and that spring doesn't take forever to arrive!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean, as I type this the dishes and laundry continue to pile up as well as the mess that my 2 year old son continually makes! But oh well! I figure life's too short I do the dishes later!
ReplyDeleteWell here is too feeling the blahs no more! Adore you blog! And wanted to wish you a fab new year! Come by and say hello soon!
ReplyDeleteKeep that tree up for a little while. My children just love the tree lights, they turn out all the lamps so we can sit in the "sparkle". So turn out all the lamps, sit in the "sparkle" and enjoy it for a little while. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteLANNY... no... sorry
ReplyDeletethose dark days CAN get ya! Sun... you peek through & shine on her pretty face! please!
LOVE YOU!
your year is BRIGHT!
Come out! Come out! Wherever you are!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year Lanny!!
ReplyDeleteI love you so much and I hope you get out of your funk...lol. xoxo May you have a wonderful, blessed and prosperous 2009. Say hi to dennis and gus gus for me...
